"It all started, as most good things do, with a batch that went wrong. The butter was too brown, the chocolate too generous, the salt too heavy. We set them on the windowsill to cool and went fishing. When we returned, three cookies were missing. We blame the octopus. The End."

Run by Arnt Roar, this is the heart of the island, a real local general store. Fresh bakery goods every day, home delivery, and an impressive collection of fishing gear. Come in for the experience.

Coffee & food. Right next door to Nærbutikken, this local café has fantastic-looking food, specialty coffee and delightfully unpredictable opening hours. Hop in if the door is open, and sometimes there's a live music jam. Robin runs it exactly as he likes, and you'll like it too.
